1.

Create a notice, super fast

No fluff. Takes 10 seconds to fill out a few fields (only 2 are mandatory), and you're done. Compare that to Evite, where you need to complete several pages of info. Hey, you're not planning a birthday bash or wedding anniversary here, so we don't waste your time making you pick a design and a theme.

Want to repeat a fun event? A single click lets you copy a past notice (your own or a friend's).

2.

Invite friends who share that interest

Invite lots of people (including friends imported from your address book) quickly using an intuitive friend selector that usually figures out who you mean before you're done typing. Or, just copy the invitees from a previous event as a starting point. And let your friends invite other friends if you want.

Tags let you group friends with a common interest and are a huge shortcut when inviting friends. For example, you can use your "Idol" tag when creating a notice to watch American Idol, and it'll get sent to all your friends who like Ryan, Simon, and Randy too. Sure beats making lots of phone calls or selecting people from your address book one-by-one.

For activities that you want to publicize quickly and more broadly, we make it a breeze for you and your friends to share a notice on sites like Facebook and Twitter.

3.

You're done! We get out the word and take it from there

All invitees get your invitation by email, via text message, or in Facebook and Twitter, from where it's just a click to RSVP, add fun comments, talk trash, and share outcomes. Customizable notifications are also sent in real-time to the host and attendees, via email or text message, as key status changes occur.

Have only 3 spots for golf or 2 tickets to share? No problem. Send it to lots friends but simply limit the number who can RSVP "yes". OSN takes care of the rest, along with handling lots of other common planning headaches like sending reminders as the event approaches. Try managing that stuff by email or on Facebook.

  • Awesome! Used OnShortNotice to tell 12 golf buddies that I had a last minute tee time. Got the 4-some filled in under an hour, which sure beat playing with randoms. And nice how OnShortNotice stopped allowing RSVPs after the spots were filled, so I didn't have to deal with that hassle myself.

  • We just launched a major home page redesign. Please give it a whirl and let us know what you think. Thanks!
